Authentic worship nurtures a vital relationship with God! |
|
| |
Westerville Christian must prayerfully grow stronger through worship! Patrick Kavanaugh writes, “Spending time with God - focusing on Him and putting aside the cares of the world - gives us time to mature in our relationship with Him. It is called worship."
“Worship is more than just singing a few songs, performing a few rituals and enduring a sermon. We come to experience the presence of God, to acknowledge his authority in our lives, and to worship him as our Creator.” Bob Russell
Our continual goal at Westerville Christian is to encourage each person to worship God daily not weekly. Romans 12: 1-2

Outreach focuses on meeting people’s needs and healing hurts! |
|

Westerville Christian must prayerfully grow larger through evangelism. Evangelism is “one beggar telling another beggar where to find bread.”
“What’s the primary purpose of the church? Jesus said his main mission was “to seek and to save what was lost.”
Our continual goal at Westerville Christian is to mobilize ministry partners to fulfill Jesus’ mission: “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28: 19-20 |

Small groups connect people and foster growth! |
|
| |
Westerville Christian must prayerfully grow warmer through fellowship. Rick Warren writes in The Purpose Driven Life, “God intends for us to experience life together. The Bible calls this shared experience fellowship.
Fellowship includes unselfish loving, honest sharing, practical serving, sacrificial giving, sympathetic comforting and all the other “one another” commands found in the New Testament.
When it comes to fellowship, size matters. Smaller is better.”
Our continual goal at Westerville Christian is to forge relationships by connecting people fostering genuine growth. |

Spiritual growth leading to maturity must be intentional. |
|
| |
Westerville Christian must prayerfully grow deeper through discipleship. George Barna writes, “Christians will not behave like Jesus until they begin thinking like Jesus.” No Christian will grow unless they choose to grow. Churches must provide a buffet table from which to eat. Christians must choose to dine.
Our continual goal at Westerville Christian is to build mature ministry partners who think like Jesus. |

Serving people as we are gifted serves God! |
|
| |
Westerville Christian must prayerfully grow broader through involvement. The Bible states, “Ministers are equippers, members are ministers.” Everyone has been gifted in a unique fashion to serve God where they are passionate. Churches thrive when people volunteer because of a grateful heart.
