On November 3, 1968 the Westerville Church of Christ opened its charter membership roll in a temporary meeting place with 38 people. On March 17, 1974 our first church building (currently the Chapel) opened its doors with 293 in attendance.
By 1994, an education wing had been built and the name of the congregation had been changed to the Westerville Christian Church. Three services were taking place with over 427 in attendance on a Sunday morning.
By 2004, there were over 570 in attendance during three Sunday morning services in the Family Life Center (built in 1996), using North Wing (built in 2001) for Bible classes.
Love God-Love People became the WCC mission statement and the kick off of the Love God-Love Kids Campaign began. On June 26, 2005 the ground breaking for our Love God-Love Kids addition took place with 648 in attendance.
On Sunday, July 23, 2006 our congregation returned to two services and the completion of our Love God-Love Kids addition marked another milestone for the Westerville Christian Church family.
As we continue to add numbers to our congregation, our goal and purpose will remain the same...Love God-Love People.
