So, what is Eikon? In a word, likeness. When you read Romans 8:29, we see a phrase that Paul mentions about “conforming to the likeness of His Son”. As a young adult community at Westerville Christian Church, we want to conform to the likeness of Jesus. We want to be “Eikon” representations of God’s Son so we can share our lives with others.
That brings us to 1 Thessalonians 2:8. This verse is all about loving God and loving people, the vision of Westerville Christian Church. Just like this passage says, we not only get to share the gospel of God with others but we get to share our lives with people as well. To work together, play together, worship together, and serve together to make God famous in all the earth (Isaiah 26:8). The final point is that we get to promote God, not ourselves or our church.
We just get to promote Jesus and make sure that his name is famous to those who hear it. Come and join us on the night’s we have listed in this brochure. Every small group will take the above passages to heart and will be a community of believers that you can count on.
