So, what is Eikon? In a word, likeness. When you read Romans 8:29, we see a phrase that Paul mentions about “conforming to the likeness of His Son”. As a young adult community at Westerville Christian Church, we want to conform to the likeness of Jesus. We want to be “Eikon” representations of God’s Son so we can share our lives with others. That brings us to 1 Thessalonians 2:8. This verse is all about loving God and loving people, the vision of Westerville Christian Church. Just like this passage says, we not only get to share the gospel of God with others but we get to share our lives with people as well. To work together, play together, worship together, and serve together to make God famous in all the earth (Isaiah 26:8). The final point is that we get to promote God, not ourselves or our church. We just get to promote Jesus and make sure that his name is famous to those who hear it. Come and join us on the night’s we have listed in this brochure. Every small group will take the above passages to heart and will be a community of believers that you can count on.
Our TNT small groups are fun and relational. We meet on Tuesdays at 6:30pm in the Student Center (upper level). We have three small groups meeting within our TNT gathering. Chris Kludy and David Bondurant facilitate these groups. Our desire with TNT small groups is for you to build relationships with Jesus and with other young adults.
David Bondurant - My name is David Bondurant. I am the Small Groups/Young Adult minister at Westerville Christian Church. I have been in fulltime ministry since June of 1993. I have had the privlege of being at Westerville Christian as a Ministry partner since July of 2006 and on Staff since November of 2007. I am blessed to be married to Mary, have a wonderful daughter named Cara, and we expecting our son Isaac in December of 2010. I guess I should mention our cat, Style too! (Great name picked out by Cara) My family and I love being ministry partners at Westerville. To be on staff is a blessing all in its own.In my spare time I like to relax with my family, watch movies, travel together, and shop at Best Buy (my favorite toy store)! We love to eat at restaurants or cook out with family and friends. My life verse is based on 1 Thessalonians 2:8 which describes two wonderful things a Christian gets to do. We get to share the Gospel of God and we get to share our lives with people. I want my life and ministry to reflect that. To share God and myself with other people.
